 USGS:  A major 6.6 earthquake hit Santa Cruz Islands on Monday, January 9, 2012, at 04:07:16 UTC, at a depth of 38.9 km (24.2 mi).

6.1 Earthquake Hits Santa Cruz Islands

USGS:  A 6.1 quake hit Santa Cruz Islands on 6/21/11 at 02:04:15 UTC, at a depth of 13.5 km (8.4 mi).  There are currently no reports of damage.  

My Comments:  Matthew 24:7 "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places."  The Lord's coming is near and these frequent high velocity earthquakes are a sign of the last days.
